Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Prakash decided to pursue a career in dentistry during high school after needing extensive dental work herself. She remembers her dentist being one of the happiest people she had ever met, and the experience left a lasting impression on her. Dentistry felt like a natural fit because it combined her interest in health and medicine with working with her hands and helping people smile with confidence. Now, she is that happy dentist!
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Prakash attended New York University before earning her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the New York University College of Dentistry. She has continued expanding her clinical training through various advanced courses, including the Columbia Implant Maxi Course and the Implant Continuum, and is also Invisalign certified.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Whenever she isn’t at the practice, Dr. Prakash enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her husband and two young children. One fun fact about her is that she has visited 36 countries and is always looking forward to her next adventure.
